Depression Assessment

Introduction

Why You Should Take This Assessment

While it's normal to feel "down in the dumps" every so often, ongoing sadness could be a sign of depression.

People with major depression feel sad for a long time. They lose interest in activities they used to enjoy. Depression occurs when feelings of loss, anger, sadness, or frustration interfere with your daily life. Depression can be mild, moderate, or severe. It can occur one time or several times, and it can last 2 years or more. About 16 million Americans are affected by this mood disorder.

By taking the following assessment, you can see if you may be at risk for depression.

Please note that this assessment cannot make a diagnosis. It is also not a substitute for an evaluation by your health care provider. The assessment can only give you a sense of whether you may be depressed, based on how you answer the questions.
