Treats peptic ulcers and severe drooling caused by certain conditions (including cerebral palsy).

This medicine is not right for everyone. Do not use it if you had an allergic reaction to glycopyrrolate, or if you have glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, an enlarged prostate, bladder problems (including blockage), or stomach or bowel problems (including paralytic ileus, severe ulcerative colitis, or toxic megacolon).How to Use This Medicine:
Liquid, Tablet, Dissolving Tablet
- Take your medicine as directed. Your dose may need to be changed several times to find what works best for you.
- Take this medicine at least one hour before or two hours after meals.
- Oral liquid: Measure the oral liquid medicine with a marked measuring spoon, oral syringe, or medicine cup.
- Disintegrating tablet: Make sure your hands are dry before you handle the disintegrating tablet. Do not open the blister pack until you are ready to take it. Peel back the foil from the blister pack, then remove the tablet. Do not push the tablet through the foil. Do not break or cut the tablet. Place the tablet in your mouth. After it has melted, swallow without water.
- Read and follow the patient instructions that come with this medicine. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
- Missed dose: Take a dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and take a regular dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.
- Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
Drugs and Foods to Avoid:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
- Do not take this medicine if you are receiving potassium chloride tablets or other potassium supplements (in capsule or tablet forms).
- Some medicines can affect how glycopyrrolate works. Tell your doctor if you are using any of the following:
- Amantadine, atenolol, digoxin, haloperidol, levodopa, metformin
- Medicine to treat depression or mental illness
- Medicine to treat heart rhythm problems
- Seizure medicine
- Other stomach medicine
Warnings While Using This Medicine:
- Tell your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, congestive heart failure, heart rhythm problems, high blood pressure, nerve problems, an enlarged prostate, or an overactive thyroid. Tell your doctor if you have hiatal hernia, heartburn, diarrhea, stomach or bowel problems (including colitis, colostomy, or ileostomy).
- This medicine may cause stomach or bowel problems (including constipation or diarrhea).
- Be careful during hot weather or exercising. This medicine may make you or your child sweat less, so you could get overheated more easily.
- This medicine may make you dizzy, confused, drowsy, or less alert than you are normally. Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how this medicine affects you.
- Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Blurred vision, drowsiness
- Change in how much or how often you urinate, painful urination
- Constipation, diarrhea, stomach pain or swelling
- Fast or pounding heartbeat
- Fever, chills, cough, sore throat, stuffy or runny nose, body aches
- Lightheadedness or fainting
- Muscle weakness or stiffness
- Warmth or redness in your face, neck, arms, or upper chest
