Taking salicylates may deplete potassium.

Symptoms of potassium deficiency include:

Nausea and vomiting
Tiredness
Drowsiness
Feeling of apprehension
Weakness
Muscle pain and weakness (mostly in the legs)
Muscle cramps
Strong, rapid or irregular heartbeat
